Review of the collection of poetry- HOKHIYOTI SORAIR MAAT ETA BISARI
Dipok Nath is one of the promising poet among the modern Assamese poets. This is his 3rd collection of poetry name- HOKHIYOTI SORAIR MAAT ETA BISARI(searching for the voice of nightingale). In the earlier collections he put emphasis mainly in love, but here we finds an another sound of revolution along with love. The thin structure of his poetry says a lot more about present situation, society and human. An universal appeal running through his poetry. But these are lack of poetic experiments. A lyrical tone is passing in his poems. He also takes some revolutionary figures as the subject, such as - CHE GUEVARA, NALSON MENDELA.
Review of the book- RASIA ARU AMERICAR GOLPO
This is a book by well known translator MOUSOM GOGOI, who translated of ten short stories, written by the greats like - MARK TWIN, ANTON CHEKHOV, ALEXI ROMISIV, ERNEST HEMINGWE etc. Actually these are masterpiece in English language. But in his translation we are lacking of smoothness that we find in originals. Keeping those small errors in a side, this is actually a outstanding gift for Assamese readers.
